Research Opportunities

During their Post Graduate Year Four research rotations, U-M Otolaryngology residents are required to work with a selected faculty mentor on a research project and present the results as a written manuscript submitted for publication and also orally at an annual scientific lectureship hosted by our department. There are various ongoing projects for residents to choose from, as well as the opportunity to develop their own projects under the guidance of the faculty mentor. Residents are encouraged early-on to identify a possible project and mentor in order to have time to write a proposal and apply for available academy grants to fund their projects.
