How to Give
Imagine What is Possible
Can you imagine a day when it will be possible to repair a damaged hip or knee by inducing new bone and cartilage growth, rather than by replacing it with an artificial one? Or a day when a child born with congenital scoliosis – a disorder characterized by severe spinal and chest wall deformities – can lead a healthy, active life? Can you imagine a day when older adults remain physically active throughout their retirement years?
U-M Orthopaedic Surgery faculty members are exploring ways to turn these dreams into reality.
How You Can Help
Research support
Private support is the fuel that makes new and innovative research possible.
- A gift of any amount can help build a Discovery Fund to support fast-track research.
- A gift of $100,000 or more can establish an endowed research fund. It can have a specific research focus or can be designed to be used at the discretion of the Department Chair.
- A gift of $10 million can endow the U-M Orthopaedic Research Laboratories, assuring and enhancing our contributions to the advancement of medical research.
Educational support
Support for resident education helps us provide the richest educational experience to our trainees.
- A gift of any amount helps build our Orthopaedic Resident Research and Education Fund.
- A gift of $50,000 or more can establish an endowed educational fund, which allows residents to participate in national meetings and take advantage of other special educational opportunities.
Faculty support
Endowed professorships enable us to recruit and retain the very best clinical and research faculty.
- A gift of $500,000 to $2 million can establish an endowed professorship, which will support and enhance the research activities of an outstanding faculty member.
