We’re known for providing what patients and their families want most: advanced approaches and compassionate care.
U.S. News & World Report ranks our orthopaedic surgery training program among the top 40 in the United States. In fact, we have been pioneers in orthopaedic surgery care, education and research since 1930.
What are we doing today?
- The University of Michigan sees more patients with sarcoma than any other center in the state of Michigan, and is one of the highest visit sarcoma centers in the country. Our multidisciplinary Sarcoma program sees patients from around the country, has multiple clinical trials of investigational agents, and provides comprehensive multidisciplinary care in one site.
- We provide comprehensive services for adults and children.
- Our hip replacement surgery is less invasive and requires less recovery time.
- And we’re using newer, stronger materials for joint replacements – so that replacement doesn’t become a way of life for you.
Our department comprises nearly 30 faculty with interests in a broad range of clinical areas, research and education. To enhance patient care, the department is organized by clinical services.
We do orthopaedic surgery. We specialize in hope. Please contact us to discover your own Michigan Difference.
