Bowl for Burns event to benefit U-M Trauma Burn Center
Month-long tournament to take place each Friday and Saturday,
Feb. 2 – March 3
ANN ARBOR, MI – The 26th annual Bowl for Burns event, which benefits the University of Michigan Trauma Burn Center, will take place each Friday at 9:30 p.m., and Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Feb. 2 through March 3 at Parkway Lanes in Trenton.
Bowl for Burns tournament is organized each year by a group of Downriver fire fighters and volunteers. Teams and volunteers for the event are made up of fire fighters, nurses, physicians, area businesses and more. The public also is invited to attend or register a team to bowl.
At the tournament, U-M Trauma Burn Center merchandise will be on sale, and there will giveaways and raffles. The culmination of the tournament will be celebrated with an award ceremony and live auction at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Parkway Lanes. The live auction will feature sports memorabilia, gift and travel packages, dinner certificates and more.
There is a fee for registering bowling teams, but general admittance to the events is free. Contributions from the Bowl for Burns event support research and programs at the U-M Trauma Burn Center, including Kids Burn Camp, nursing education opportunities and research. Bowl for Burns is the U-M Trauma Burn Center’s longest-running volunteer-driven event.
