Khalil N. Bitar, Ph.D., AGAF.

Khalil Bitar

 

Dr. Bitar received a Master of Science in Neurophysiology from the Universite De Provence in 1973 and a PhD in Physiology from the American University of Beirut in 1976.  Currently, he is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan.  His research interests include: protein-protein interactions in signaling and sliding of filaments in smooth muscle; aging and development of the gastrointestinal tract.

Nancy H. Fultz, PhD

Nancy Fultz

Dr. Fultz received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Michigan in 1978.  In 1982, she received a Master of Arts in Applied Social Research and in 1990 received a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan.  Dr. Fultz went on to complete Post-Doctorate training in 1990 at the University of Michigan in Public Health and Aging.  Currently, she is a Research Investigator in the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research.  Her research interests include: understanding the impact of chronic mental and physical health conditions on quality of life in older age; survey methodology; gender roles across the life course. 


Yvonne Hsu, M.D.

Yvonne Hsu

Dr. Hsu received a bachelor of science in biology from Grinell College in 1995. She went on to receive a medical degree from the University of Iowa in 1999. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah in 2003. Dr. Hsu completed a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan in 2006. While at UofM Dr. Hsu held a career development award from the National Institutes of Health. She is currently an Assistant Professor at The University of Utah, School of Medicine in the Division of Urogynecology.

Hero Hussain,MD

Hero Hussain

Dr. Hussain is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and director of body MR imaging. She joined the Radiology department at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1999 after completing a fellowship in body MR imaging at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in St. Louis, and radiology residency in the UK, at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London. She was admitted as fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 1995. She completed her Medical school at the University of Baghdad. Her main interests are abdominal and pelvic MRI, and tumor imaging.

Jerilyn M. Latini, MD

Jerilyn Latini

 

Dr. Latini received her Medical Degree from Darmouth in 1996 and completed residencies at Lahey Clinic in Burlington Massachusetts. She went on to complete a fellowship in Neurology and Reconstructive Surgery in 2003 at the University of Iowa. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology.

Edward J. McGuire, MD

Ed McGuire

 

Dr. McGuire received a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University in 1961.  He received his Medical Degree from Wayne State University in 1965 and completed his residencies in Surgery and Urology at Yale-New Haven Medical Center in 1969 and 1972.  Currently, he is a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan.  Dr. McGuire functions in the PFRG as a Urology consultant on the SCOR projects. http://www.um-urology.com/staff/faculty/mcguire.html

Gwi-Ryung Son, PhD

Dr. Son received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Han Yan University in 1983.  She received a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Connecticut in 1994 and received a PhD in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in 1998.  Currently, she is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Division of Acute, Critical and Long-Term Care Programs at the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan.  Her research interests include: prevalence rate of urinary incontinence in Asian Americans; psychosocial barriers for health-seeking behavior in ethnic groups; developing culturally sensitive interventions. 

 

Tamara A. Stein, PhD

Stein received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University in 1986. She received a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology in 1993 and received a PhD in Anthropology in 2003 from the University of Chicago. Currently, Dr. Stein is a lecturer in the Department of Anatomical Sciences at the University of Michigan. Her research interests are to understand the fundamental structure and function of the various components of the pelvic floor and pelvic support mechanisms using an evolutionary context within which to investigate hypotheses.  These structure/function relationships would ideally translate to better prevention and treatment strategies for pelvic floor dysfunction.

William Weadock,MD

Bill Weadock

Dr. Weadock is an Associate Professor of Radiology. He joined the Radiology Department at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1992 after completing a fellowship in Body Computed Tomography in 1997 at the University of Michigan. He completed his residency in 1997 at the University of Minnesota. His main interests are abody magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), resident education and computer applications.

Dr. Rebecca Margulies was a fellow in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Michigan from 2005-2008. She current practices with Kaizer Pemanente in California.

Elisa Trowbridge

 

Dr. Elisa Trowbridge was a fellow in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellow at the University of Michigan from 2004-2007. She is currently at University of Virginia.

Ms. Garcia received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brigham Young University in 2004. Ms. Garcia was a research assistant for the PERL+ project until 2007.

Mrs. Raymond-Schenk received a bachelor of arts in business from Northwood Institute in 1988. Mrs. Raymond-Schenk was a research secretary for Core A of the SCOR project until 2007.

 

 

Angela D. Thomas, M.P.H.

Ms. Thomas received a bachelor of science in biopsychology and the cognitive sciences from the University of Michigan in 2000. She went on to receive a master of public health in health behavior and health education from the University of Michigan in 2002. Ms. Thomas served as a project manager until 2007.
