The Michigan Healthy Healing After Delivery Program is the first of its kind, offering support to women with postpartum- specific ailments by a team of experts who provide integrated care at a very challenging time. The program assists women who experience any of the following symptoms:
- bowel incontinence
- constipation
- episiotomy
- fecal incontinence
- urinary incontinence
- non-healing episiotomy
- painful episiotomy
- 3rd for 4th degree lacerations
- anal fistula
- postpartum retention
- rectovaginal fistulas
- difficulty emptying the bladder (postpartum retention)
- painful intercourse
