Our Patient and Families
The Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan Health System provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical services in Cardiac Surgery, General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. These clinical programs include complex and tertiary care services for both the adult and pediatric patient populations. The Department also participates in several formally organized interdisciplinary programs with other departments in the Health System, and forms a major part of the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Department of Surgery participates in the following Multidisciplinary Clinics and Programs: Aortic Valve Clinic, Craniofacial Anomalies Program, Digestive Health Center, Heart Care Program, Mitral Valve Clinic, Pediatric Heart Transplant Clinic, Pituitary and Neuroendocrine Center, and Vascular Medicine Multidisciplinary Clinic.
