Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice
Welcome to the Evidence Based Practice Resource page. This site provides links for nurses at the University of Michigan Health System and the School of Nursing to meet needs for information, skills, and resources to promote evidence-based practice.
Evidence-based practice is defined as “A problem-solving approach to clinical practice that integrates a systematic search for and critical appraisal of the most relevant evidence to answer a burning clinical question with one’s own clinical expertise & patients’ preferences and values.” (Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt, 2005, p.6)
The NNPN - National Nursing Practice Network® represents a commitment to the promotion and implementation of evidence-based practice (EBP) through a collaborative model designed to promote shared learning and participation.
Check out the NNPN website.
This website is all about sharing your expertise, your successes and failures and your thoughts with other nurses.
