BSN Nurse Extern Program: 2010 Information for Prospective Applicants

Target Audience: UMHS Nurse Externs and Preceptors

  1. Current enrollment in a BSN nursing program with the goal of becoming a R.N.
  2. Completion of junior level clinical requirements
  3. Completion of a minimum of two clinical rotations by program start date
  4. Status: within 1 year of graduating from the nursing program
  5. Students with an interest in Pediatric selection: completion of at least one clinical experience in a pediatric acute care hospital setting.
  6. An overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
  7. Two recommendation forms (both recommendations should be from clinical faculty member)
