"My vision is to help foster the nursing talent I have in my units, to allow them the opportunity to provide evidenced based practice to a complex patient population."

Professional Overview

Cinda joined the University of Michigan Health System as a graduate nurse in 1979. She hired into the Medical ICU, and in 1982 became the Assistant Head Nurse there. It was during this time that the MICU combined with the Respiratory ICU to become the Critical Care Medicine Unit. The integration of two ICU’s patient population as well as staff proved to be challenging and rewarding. After 12 years in the CCMU, Cinda transferred to the Neuro ICU. In 1997 she became the Educational Nurse Coordinator for the NICU. She held that position until becoming the Clinical Nurse Manager in 2001.
