Sue Kofflin "My vision is an environment where staff, empowered with knowledge and resources, and inspired by respect and collegiality, assist families in discovering the joy and power of childbirth."

Professional Overview

Susan's nursing career began here at the "U" as a staff RN in the Thoracic ICU, and moved over time to RN and then Assistant Head Nurse in OB-ICU.
She left in the 80's, and worked in Critical Care and Labor and Delivery in various positions, including Assistant Head Nurse, Clinical Specialist, and Nurse Manager. Most recently, before returning to U of M, Sue served as Director of Women's and Children's Services at a community hospital.

Sue is thrilled to return to the "U.". She assumed her current position as Clinical Nurse Manager of the Women's Hospital Birth Center and Perinatal Assessment Center in September, 2005.
