Overview
Ms. Gold is currently the President and CEO of the Michigan Visiting Nurse Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Regents of the University of Michigan and the Director of Home Nursing for the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. She received her BSN from the University of Michigan, and her Masters in Health Services Administration from the UM School of Public Health. In addition, she earned an undergraduate degree from the UM School of Literature, Science and the Arts with a secondary teaching certificate. Her career in nursing followed a successful career in secondary education. The National Association for Home Care has credentialed her as a Certified Home Care Executive (CHCE).
Kathy is an Adjunct Lecturer, UM School of Nursing, and past president of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Rho Chapter. She currently serves as co-chair of the Development Committee, UM School of Nursing Alumni Board. She also serves on the School of Nursing’s Community Leaders Group convened by the Division of Nursing Business and Health Systems.
Kathy is committed to the development and implementation of innovative community programs and integrated home care service models, as well as monitoring quality outcomes in relation to costs. Her special interests include the development and implementation of community based primary care models, such as nurse practitioner and physician home visiting programs.
