EHS provides services that assist in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of occupational illnesses and injuries as well as providing information and support for positive health behaviors.We work with Infection Control Services, Safety Management Services, Work-Connections, MWorks, the Employee Assistance Program and other internal and external agencies to promote the Health System's goal of providing a safe and healthful workplace. Our name says it all: We are a SERVICE by and for EMPLOYEES to improve HEALTH.

Philosophy of Care
The primary goal of occupational health nursing practice is to assist the worker to attain and maintain optimal physical and psychological functioning at the worksite. This is accomplished by establishing a safe and healthy work environment through programs aimed at reducing and eliminating work-related hazards in the workplace and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the workers.
