All instructors and students with a clinical placement at UMHS will be granted access to our computer systems based on the placement location and the specifications of the role within the Health System.
Please be certain to validate access code (uniqname or user ID and password) functionality before beginning clinical hours. If there are any issues with IDs or passwords, please contact the MCIT Help Desk at 734.936.8000.
ACCESS CODES will be distributed as follows:
IMPORTANT: If there is a need to extend a student or instructor's account beyond the current semester's end date, the request must be made to Clinicalplacement@med.umich.edu before the account expires. Once the account expires for the term, accounts will not be recreated.
ONLINE PREREQUISITES IN MLEARNING (UMHS Learning Management System)
Once you receive your Level 2 user ID and password, please login to MLearning and locate your required learning activates on your Learning Plan. The required learning activities are also listed by student type on the Resources tab Institutional Requirements List. If any activities are missing, please call MLearning at 734.615.5146 to ask to be added to the "nursing student clinical placement domain" by your student type. Instructions on how to login to MLearning from off site can be found on the Resources tab.
The MiChart documentation system is currently being used in the Emergency Department and Ambulatory Care. Required learning activities for students will appear on Learning Plans as follows:
To schedule your instructor led MiChart classroom training: please email MiChart-Class-Registration@med.umich.edu and indicate your student level and placement location. You must have your Level 2 login prior to taking the class. For questions or registration you may also contact MiChart by phone at 734.232.6016.
PLEASE NOTE: Access to the MiChart system is granted upon successful completion of the required training module, classroom content and associated quiz.
PLEASE NOTE: All institutional requirements must be completed prior to the first clinical day on the unit.
