Course Description:
Course: Nursing 454 focuses on leadership roles and management functions in the clinical setting. The didactic portion of the course will build on the concepts of team, delegation, motivation, negotiation and problem solving. Additionally, the course content focuses on quality improvement within the context of changing service delivery models. In clinical, students will work in partnership with preceptors and faculty to apply concepts of leadership and management as well as develop a clinical leadership project. There is a clinical requirement of 58 hours.
