Professional
Overview
Laura
began her career as a Nurse Aide at Grayling Mercy Hospital.
Following graduation from the University of Michigan School
of Nursing in 1978, she moved to Alaska and worked there 9
years in pediatric primary care. In 1987, she and her family
returned to Michigan. Laura has worked in various roles within
the University of Michigan Congenital Heart Center since that
time.
Laura
serves as the Clinical Nurse Manager of the University
of
Michigan Congenital Heart Center, having responsibilities
for the delivery of care through the inpatient and outpatient
continuum. The care of the congenital heart patient is an
exciting ever changing world with advances in patient
care
being made continuously. Teamwork is a key element in the
success of the program.
