Our Patient and Families
The center brings together cardiovascular programs from the UMHS and the rest of the University, including adult and pediatric cardiology, adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, vascular medicine, hypertension, interventional radiology, stroke, and adult and pediatric cardiac anesthesiology, adult and pediatric cardiac nursing, and many related disciplines and projects.

Philosophy of Care
With greater emphasis on multidisciplinary care, patients benefit from better coordination among physicians and support staff. Additionally, patients benefit as innovative research is brought more quickly to the clinical care setting through efforts achieved within the center. The UM Cardiovascular Center is committed to delivering the highest quality, multidisciplinary care to patients in a compassionate manner that is user-friendly and accessible. Everyone from medical students to practicing physicians to community members have more opportunities to learn about the origin, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of conditions from high blood pressure and aortic diseases to heart attack stroke.
