Professional Overview

Louise"s nursing career began in 1978 at the University of Michigan CS Mott Children's Hospital as a staff nurse on the pediatric infectious disease unit. She transferred to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in 1979, finsihed her MSN in 1987 passing her PNP certification boards in November of 1987. She worked as a CPNP for Pediatric Cardiac Surgery from 1987 to 2005. She transferred to Pediatric Cardiology in 2005 again in the role of CPNP gaining a broader perspective of the whole Congenital Heart Center. She assumed the role of nurse manager in the Pediatric Cardiothoracic Care Unit in January of 2007.
