Our Patient and Families
The 32-bed unit provides care to patients on the Neurology, Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology services and includes a six-bed Epilepsy Monitoring unit. The unit provides care to patients with the following diagnoses: brain and spinal cord tumors, epilepsy, stroke, cerebral aneurysm, neuropathy, Myasthenia Gravis, head and spinal cord trauma, and reconstructive surgery for head and neck cancer.

Philosophy of Care
4A staff members believe that the professional nurse should provide comprehensive, holistic care to patients and families in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Critical pathways are used to help coordinate care and achieve desired patient outcomes.
