Raphaela Ninowski, M.A.
Project Coordinator

Raphaela joined the Nicotine Research Lab from the VA Medical Center in Detroit where she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Internal Medicine. Raphaela received her BS in Physiology and Psychology from Michigan State in 1997, her MA in Community Psychology from Wayne State in 2001 where she is currently pursuing her PhD in Educational Psychology. Raphaela also works part-time as a therapist at the Chelsea-Arbor Treatment Center.

As a Project Coordinator Raphaela coordinates all aspects of Institute on Drug Abuse research projects, including the supervision of Research Assistants, creation of study-specific tracking forms, tracking subject progress, managing and analyzing data, occasional phlebotomy, and smoking cessation counseling, as well as corresponding with the IRB by way of applications, amendments, continuations and consents. She also assists with the preparation of manuscripts and literature searches for current and future projects.
