Cynthia S. Pomerleau, Ph.D.
Director, Nicotine Research Laboratory

Cindy Pomerleau is Director of the Nicotine Research Laboratory in the Behavioral Medicine Program and Research Professor in the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry.

Her research interests over the last several years have focused on psychiatric cofactors for smoking (e.g., depression, disordered eating, ADHD); and on the biobehavioral effects of nicotine in women, with a particular emphasis on 1) nicotine intake and effects across the menstrual cycle and 2) concerns about postcessation weight gain.
