For requests with non-urgent deadlines, send a message to UMHSmedia@umich.edu.
After business hours (from 5 to 11 p.m. and 7 to 8 a.m. ET), and on weekends and holidays, members of the media may call the UMHS operators at 734-936-6267 and ask to page the Public Relations person on call.
For news-related updates on patients in our hospitals: First, read these guidelines for release of one-word patient conditions. Any further information release to the media requires a signed consent from the patient or his/her legal representative, and must be arranged through Public Relations.
