Hospitals and Case Material
Clinical rotations are done at three hospitals: the University of Michigan Hospital, C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital and the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Main Hospital and Mott Hospital are physically connected, while the VA is one mile away.
Main Hospital
The University of Michigan Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with 600 beds, including a 10-bed Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit.
Mott Hospital
Mott Children's Hospital is a 200-bed pediatric hospital with 40 intensive care beds. The Main Hospital and Mott Hospital are connected physically and administered separately. We conduct outpatient evaluations in the Taubman Clinic, which is adjacent to both inpatient units.
VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System
The VA Hospital is a 350-bed facility that provides care for veterans from Michigan, Indiana and northern Ohio. The VA is one-half mile from the University of Michigan medical complex. Recently, the VA completed a $150 million expansion, which includes new operating rooms, an intensive care unit and a recovery room.
