How to Apply
Beginning in July 2010, the neurosurgery residency will commence in the PGY-1 year. Either two or three positions of this type are available each year and are filled through the National Resident Matching Program. Applications for residency positions are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service.
The 2009 deadline for applications is October 1, 2009.

Interview Day
We run a split interview with a morning and afternoon session. The morning session begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends with a luncheon. The afternoon session begins with the luncheon and ends at about 6:00 p.m.
The interview format includes:
- A general introduction to the Medical Center
- A tour of the clinical facilities
- A tour of our laboratories
- Interviews with our faculty
- Lunch with a slide presentation by our house officers
Day Before the Interview
Applicants typically arrive the evening before their interview in order to meet informally with our current residents and have dinner with them. It is an excellent opportunity for applicants to get the “inside scoop” about our program.
