Other Ways to Participate

Not a golfer, but still want to participate?

  1. Dinner-only participation is available, but space is limited.  Please fill out the registration form to reserve your seat.
  2. Purchase ad space in our program.
    1. 1 page = $700
    2. ½ page = $400
    3. ¼ page = $250

We will distribute the programs to all participants at the event as well as send copies to all businesses and organizations who buy ad space.

U.S. Armed Forces — Veterans and Active Duty

Highlights: Moment of silence observed for all deceased service men and women, a
rousing rendition of God Bless America sung a cappella — and the audience joined in,
all Active Duty, Reserves, and Veterans in attendance were recognized for their service.
Veterans: Four local Veterans were given special recognition for their service, and each
Veteran delivered brief, but meaningful, words about their service careers, how they
serve today, and patriotism. Veteran Honorees were Gregg Weaver, Rueben Swisher,
Melvin Kearney, and Michael Smith.

Young Hero Recipient, Pietro Pellerito

Pietro Pellerito received a Young Hero Medal from SMSgt Denine McFadden of the
127th Wing, Michigan Air National Guard. Five days after having a brain tumor
removed, Pietro won a competitive math competition at his school, and would later
go on to win the state championship. Please read the “Young Hero Feature” in this

Salute of Excellence Award, Alan Mulally —
The MCGC traditionally recognizes an individual whose commitment to excellence
and service has a made a positive impact within the motor city community. This year’s
recipient was Alan Mulally, President and CEO of Ford Motor Co. Mr. Mulally
delivered an upbeat speech while telling “The Ford Story — Keeping it Simple at Ford.”
