Making the decision to come to the University of Michigan for residency was simple. From the moment I was introduced to members of the department, it was clear that this entire program was committed to its residents and providing the best training and exposure to a broad range of subspecialties. One of the aspects I've enjoyed most about the program is the camaraderie that is shared between the faculty and residents, and the strong support that is provided. In addition, although residency is busy no matter where you go, I have still have managed to keep up with the things I love to do outside of work, including spending time with my husband, cooking, running, and even some film interpretation and keeping up with The Simpson's! Finally, Ann Arbor is an amazing place to live. As a Michigan native, my family and I have visited Ann Arbor since I was young for its culture, restaurants and entertainment. I am so happy to finally be living here, and to be part of such a great group of individuals. Next year, I will be staying here to start a multiple sclerosis fellowship, with a focus on clinical research.
