University of Michigan Sleep Disorders Laboratory – South State Street
The University of Michigan Sleep Disorders Laboratory - South State Street opened in April, 2004. This facility includes 9 private bedrooms and bathrooms. It occupies space similar in size to the original Michael S. Aldrich Sleep Disorders Laboratory, and uses the identical state-of-the-art sleep recording equipment. The South State Street laboratory performs more than 2000 nocturnal sleep studies annually. Each recording is cabled in a secure manner to the Aldrich Sleep Disorders Laboratory where all studies are interpreted by UM faculty and fellows who specialize in sleep medicine.
