| Pediatric Sleep and Behavior Clinic
A multidisciplinary Pediatric Sleep and Behavior Clinic is held on Friday mornings in the Department of Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases, Taubman Clinic (1st floor, Area D), or on the 7th floor of the Med Inn Building in the Michael S. Aldrich Sleep Disorders Laboratory. This Clinic is dedicated to the evaluation of sleep disorders in infants, children, and adolescents, and to assessment of daytime behavior problems that often accompany sleep disorders. Sleep specialists evaluate and treat children with sleep-disordered breathing, insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, unusual movements or behaviors during sleep, nightmares or night terrors, and disorders of the sleep/wake schedule. The team is made up of physicians who specialize in sleep medicine, a behavioral / developmental pediatrician, a psychologist with expertise in behavioral aspects of sleep, and fellows or residents training in sleep medicine. Each child is scheduled with the appropriate member or members of the Clinic based on presenting concerns.
