About Us
Specific problems addressed at the Sleep Disorders Center include excessive daytime sleepiness, insomnia, sleep apnea, snoring, narcolepsy, abnormal sleep-wake patterns, nocturnal seizures, and abnormal behaviors during sleep. An evaluation often starts with a complete history and physical examination, and when necessary proceeds to an overnight study in the Sleep Disorders Laboratory. Once a diagnosis is made, a wide range of effective treatment strategies are available. The large majority of sleep problems can be improved, controlled, or eliminated.
