General Outpatient Clinic

Neurology Outpatient Services has 10 subspecialty clinics, with nationally-recognized experts in the following fields: Ataxia, Cognitive Disorders, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurogenetics, Neuromuscular Disorders, Neuro-oncology, Sleep, and Stroke. Patients whose illnesses do not fall into these categories, and those who do not yet have a diagnosis, are seen in the general Neurology clinic. Over 4,000 of the 19,500 total Neurology clinic visits are seen in general Neurology. This clinic manages a wide variety of illnesses ranging from common disorders like migraine and spondylitic myelopathy to complex problems such as chronic meningitis and neurosarcoidosis. We provide long-term treatment and precise diagnoses for many types of headache patients, and can also provide single consultations for unusual dysesthesias or gait disturbances.

The general Neurology clinic also manages the neurologic complications of many tertiary medical conditions including organ transplantation, rhematologic disorders and endocrine dysfunction. For our own internal physicians, we offer the courtesy of expedited appointments, including same day service for many seriously ill patients.

To make an appointment, call (734)936-9020. Physician referrals are required.
