Multiple Sclerosis / Neuroimmunology
The University of Michigan Multiple Sclerosis Center provides diagnostic services and comprehensive care for patients with MS. We provide expertise in immunomodulatory management aimed at controlling disease relapse and progression. When indicated, we manage symptoms related to MS such as fatigue, spasticity, tremor, pain, and urinary dysfunction. We also coordinate care with ancillary providers, including physical therapists, neurophyschologists, physiatrists, pain management specialists, and urologists.
We are actively involved in research at the University of Michigan Multiple Sclerosis Center and the Holtom-Garrett Neuroimmunology Laboratory to increase the understanding of the underlying causes of MS and to gain insight into the development of new treatment approaches. We actively participate in multi-center trials to evaluate the next generation of MS therapeutics. Current MS trials at U-M.
For your patient whom you continue to follow long-term, our Center provides thoughtful second opinions concerning diagnosis and treatment of their disorders.
Our MS Center is accredited by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
