Movement Disorders:
The Movement Disorders Clinic provides provides care for patients with Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, dystonias, Tourette's syndrome, tremors, and other disorders of movement. This subspecialty of neurology emphasizes clinical diagnosis and requires considerable familiarity with the subject disorders. The Movement Disorders Clinic provides consultation and second opinions for initial diagnosis and management of all movement disorders. We provide also continuing care for all movement disorders depending on the needs of patients and referring physicians. In addition to diagnosis and medical management, we provide chemodenervation (botulinum toxin) treatment for dystonias and related disorders. We participate in a joint clinic effort with the Dept. of Neurosurgery for Deep Brain Stimulation for Parkinson's disease and Essential Tremor.
