Sandra L. Wong, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology. Dr. Wong graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with an undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology in 1992. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Wong went on to complete her General Surgery residency and surgical research fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. In June of 2005, she completed a clinical fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she served as the Chief Administrative Fellow. Dr. Wong's clinical interests are in general surgical oncology, with a focus on sarcoma, melanoma, and upper gastrointestinal tract cancers. She is pursuing additional training in clinical research through a graduate program at the University of Michigan's School of Public Health. Her research focuses on practice patterns and clinical outcomes in cancer surgery.
