Andrea Osborne received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire and her Master of Science from Dartmouth Medical School's Center for the Evaluative Clinical Sciences. Since completing her education, Ms. Osborne worked for the Veteran's Affairs (VA) National Center for Patient Safety field office in White River Junction, Vermont. There, she assisted in the implementation of quality improvement programs and in the development of tools for analyzing adverse events in VA hospitals, among other projects. As a project manager for M-SCORE, Ms. Osborne is currently involved in developing the Michigan Bariatric Surgery Collaborative (MBSC), a statewide registry and quality improvement project focused on measuring and improving the quality of care for bariatric surgery patients.
