Dr. Başer received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Economics from the Middle East Technical University-Turkey in 1996, completed Master of Science Degree in Economics in 1998 and in Statistics in 2000 at Michigan State University (MSU). He graduated from the Ph.D. program in Economics at MSU in 2002. His dissertation work focused on issues related to estimation of medical cost from censored administrative data. Currently, he is working on randomization in observational studies.
