Arden M. Morris, MD, MPH
Assistant Professor of Surgery
 

Arden Morris, MD joined the faculty in 2003 as Assistant Professor in the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Morris graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an A.B. in mathematics. She earned her M.D. degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago in 1993 and trained in General Surgery residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland Oregon. From 2000-2002, Dr. Morris was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the University of Washington and earned a Masters of Public Health degree. She completed a clinical fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota in June, 2003. Dr. Morris' primary research interests are focused on (1) understanding and reducing racial, ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in surgical outcomes, (2) measuring non-fatal adverse outcomes to assess the quality of surgical care, and (3) use of patient centered outcome measures in colon and rectal surgery.
