Internal Results Delivery

With the adoption of Careweb and the results inbox capability, the electronic collection of test results has led to greater realization that a significant number of laboratory, radiology, and other test results are not reaching the ordering physician or clinical caregiver.

Project Scope

The objective of this project is to improve clinic, Pathology and Radiology processes and systems to ensure requisition completeness and deliver outpatient results to the correct ordering clinician. This scope, the SIPOC, customer requirements, and workshop participants were agreed to with the project sponsor and process owners on December 6, 2005.

Lean Workshop

The lean workshop for the Internal Results Delivery project was held on January 11, 12, and 13, 2006 and was co-facilitated by John Long and Dawn Brennan.
