At the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital Pediatric Comprehensive Weight Management Center, we have a team of experienced providers (physicians, dietitian, psychologist, social worker, exercise physiologist and physician assistant) all dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of obese adolescents through our MPOWER (Michigan Pediatric Outpatient Weight Evaluation & Reduction) program.
Childhood obesity has dramatically worsened over the past three decades. Many of these children will grow up to be obese adults and will suffer from obesity-related illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease. Our goal is to help teens and their families improve their health through lifestyle changes and the most up-to-date medical care available.
