The Mott Golf Classic launched in 1973 as a small golf outing organized by Washtenaw County Life Underwriters to benefit The University of Michigan C.S Mott Children's Hospital, one of the nation's leading pediatric health care institutions. National and international businesses and organizations now sponsor the Classic with over 300 participants playing golf at Radrick Farms Golf Club, Barton Hills Country Club and the University of Michigan Golf Course. The 2011 Classic raised over $695,000.
