The tradition of specialized care for children at the University of Michigan dates back to 1903, when one of the first separate children's wards in the nation opened on the grounds of the U-M medical campus. Today, Mott is known worldwide for its excellent clinical, educational and research programs, and for high quality care performed in state-of-the-art facilities.
