Patient & Family-Centered Care: Recognition Award Program

The Evan Newport HOPE Awards

The Evan Newport HOPE Awards recognize staff, faculty, and/or volunteers who demonstrate the principles of Patient & Family-Centered Care - dignity & respect, information sharing, participation, collaboration - in their everyday actions and behaviors. The HOPE award, which stands for 'Helping Our Patients Everyday,' was developed by Mott's Patient & Family-Centered Care Program in collaboration with Scott Newport, creator of the HOPE logo and father of Evan - a long-term patient of Mott.
