The Michigan Difference
The Michigan Difference is both the name of a multi-year University of Michigan-wide fundraising campaign, and a phrase that embodies the U-M Health System’s position as leaders and best in providing the safest, most innovative and highest quality health care in Michigan, the nation and the world. The Michigan Difference is having the best faculty and staff. It’s being one of the country’s top research and educational institutions. And it’s about fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where novel approaches to health care delivery are developed and refined. Funds raised through this campaign will fortify and advance the progressive research, education and patient care that happens here everyday.
The Mott Hospital Champions for Children project is part of this larger Michigan Difference campaign. Monies raised in the effort support the creation of our new, state-of-the-art Children and Women’s medical facility. This includes construction of a new Pediatric Specialty Ambulatory Care Center, a new birthing center, the Childhood Cancer and Bone Marrow Transplant centers, an improved Congenital Heart Center and a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department, and much, much more.
