Public Transportation & Taxi

The reliable Ann Arbor Transit Authority city bus system (also known as AATA or "The Ride") is easy to use and provides transportation to U-M Hospitals. The #2 bus stops at the main entrance to University Hospital and the Taubman Health Care Center. The #4 bus stops near the construction of the new C.S. Mott Children's Hospital and Women's Hospital. You can board these and other buses at any one of 1,000 bus stops in the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area.
- Fees:
The AATA basic fixed-route fare is $1 one-way. A transfer from one route to another is free.
- Service Hours: For the Ann Arbor area, general service hours are Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. - 10:15 p.m., and weekends 8 a.m. - 6:15 p.m. For the Ypsilanti area, general service hours are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. - 10 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

U-M Bus System
The University of Michigan bus system provides free service at 10 to 15 minute intervals throughout the day, connecting our North and Central, Medical and Athletic campuses. For additional information, call 734-764-3428.
Greyhound
The local Greyhound Bus Depot is located at 116 W. Huron Street in downtown Ann Arbor. For additional information regarding fees schedules and other bus lines using this depot, call 734-662-5511.
