Michigan Difference
A popular local run, a car wash at Michigan Stadium and a major league baseball game provided fun for the participants and important support for the new University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s and Women’s Hospital.

CHAMPIONS ALL
The Detroit Tigers’ July 19th game was a win for the Tigers and a win for Mott. The Tigers defeated the Chicago White Sox in an exciting game, and the hospital received $10,000 for the 1,000 tickets that were purchased in support of Mott.

DEXTER-ANN ARBOR RUN FOR MOTT
June 4th marked the second year of the partnership between the Dexter-Ann Arbor Run and the campaign. Runners and walkers had the opportunity to raise money through pledges. Former University of Michigan football player Tyrone Wheatley (in blue cap and grey sweatshirt) served as the honorary chair for the event. Runners raised $27,263 for Mott.

CHAMPIONS ON AND OFF THE FIELD
On June 10th, the 3rd annual Carr’s Wash for Kids raised $170,000 for the campaign (including over $40,000 from the 1050 AM WTKA radio-a-thon). The University of Michigan Head Football Coach Lloyd Carr, members of the coaching staff and players from the 2006 team joined in the community car wash, which was sponsored by Michigan International Speedway and AAA of Michigan.
