HealthWalk 2009

When?: Thursday, November 19; 11 am to 1pm

Where?: Towsley Center, Ann Arbor.

Join the U - M Health System, the March of Dimes and the Ann Arbor community as we walk in support and recognition of our longstanding commitment to the health and well-being of mothers and babies. Lunch and t-shirt to the first 500 walkers. No pledges required.

Gemini Concert

When?: Sunday, November 29; 1pm

Gemini, San and Laz Slomovits, are well on their way to becoming an Ann Arbor institution. They’ve been playing concerts here since 1973, and are now making music for their third, or is it fourth? generation of young fans and families. They play a cartload of instruments and sing funny and sweet songs. Since 1994, their Thanksgiving weekend concerts at the Ark Coffeehouse have benefited Mott Children’s Hospital, where San’s daughter Emily was born. Emily, now 15, is a fabulous violinist and will join the brothers, as will long time Good Mischief band mates, Emmy Award winning composer and pianist, Brian Brill, and percussionist/drummer extraordinaire, Aron Kaufman.

Where?:Cooper & Binkley Jewelers, 105 West Main Street, Downtown Brighton, 810-227-2221.

Time?: Monday - Friday 10 am - 7pm, Saturday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Come in to Cooper & Binkley Jewelers during the month of November and make a $10 donation to either the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital or Brighton Area Schools and receive a $20 gift certificate to be used for holiday shopping in December!
