Volunteer
Ten year old Katie Fischer
Over the holidays, 10-year-old Katie Fischer saw an advertisement for an out-of-state children’s hospital and decided she wanted to help in some way. After talking to her parents, she decided to support her local Mott Children’s Hospital. Katie brought along a container to every party and event that she attended and asked friends and guests to help support Mott Children’s Hospital; she also contributed most of her Christmas money to the fundraiser. Katie donated the money she raised to Child & Family Life to purchase items for patients to help make their stays easier.

Katie’s drive and determination truly paid off. Community members and young people like Katie help us to provide items that make hospital stays easier for patients and families.
