Child Protection Team
The University of Michigan Health System's Child Protection Team has been dealing with cases of suspected child abuse and neglect since 1971. CPT services include:
- Providing consultation to physicians and other professionals to interpret medical case findings;
- Providing specialized medical evaluations and documentation;
- Facilitating referrals to appropriate community resources;
- Educating and training health care professionals and others in recognition and management; and
- Participating in child abuse prevention programs.
