Your First Clinic Visit

So, you're coming to the cardiology clinic! Thinking about visiting the doctor can be scary, but you know what? We are here to show and tell you about what it's like so you won't have to be so scared.

When you first come inside the hospital, you will see Big Bird at the front entrance. Everybody here knows Big Bird! You can even take pictures with him if you want. The clinic is not far from Big Bird.

The first thing you'll see when you get to the clinic is the waiting area and the desk where you and your parents check in.  This area is covered in our tour.

At your clinic visit, you will be weighed and measured, and the doctors will check your heart to see how it's working. Sometimes they will need to do special tests to learn more.
