Child and Family Life
Program and Services: Music Therapy
Our music therapist uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapy interventions can be designed to promote wellness, manage stress, alleviate pain, express feelings, enhance memory, improve communications and promote physical rehabilitation. Music therapy is also used for bereavement and commemorating the child through song writing and voice recording. The music therapist is available to work with patients at bedside and designated treatment areas by staff referral or patient/family request.
