Child and Family Life: Mott Active Book

Mott Active Book

The Mott Active Book was created with hopes to inspire hospitalized teens and give them a creative outlet. The book provides a variety of different activities that stretch the imagination, teach, and introduce funky-fresh ideas.

Thanks to the many contributions from people across the country, our goal of creating this project is now a reality.

The making of the book has birthed wonderful collaborative relationships within the local community, including but not limited to, the Neutral Zone, a local teen center. To support our efforts, The Neutral Zone graciously donated their resources and time by throwing a benefit show to help raise funds for the production of the book. In addition, they sponsored a workshop to fabricate binders for the book using original artwork.

The combined efforts of many wonderful people have generated a project with the momentum and potential to propel us farther than imagined. Our hope is that this journal will be the first of volumes created with contributions from patients and teens in the community. The possibilities are endless.
